I am a whopping nine days into the No New Clothes For Six Months challenge and I already ripped one of my three pairs of jeans that fit. I need to buy jeans.
I guess I don't need new jeans, but the thing is I got a whole in yet another pair, and now what is a girl to do.

I would try to make some, because it's a no new clothes challenge and how hard could it be to make jeans. Actually I would say it is way beyond my sewing talents. The fabric alone would cost me more then buying a new pair.
So nine days down of the no new clothes for six months challenge, and five months and 23 days until I can go out and buy a new pair of jeans.

Since the goal is nothing new, only because we tend to over buy, why can't a replacement be allowed? Your net increase is zero.
Depending on the rip patching the inner thigh isnt that bad (I've done it) use something dark and soft.
Upcycle!!! if you upcycle someone elses jeans (friends, thrift store) they are NOT new!!!!
I love June idea - I really hope you will consider that - It would be fun and more meaningful than just buy a new one!
Rip holes all over the legs of the jeans and wear tights under it like this:

If you patch on the inside with something dark and soft. They should come out fine.
Great ideas guys. I am actually hoping to seriously pear down my wardrobe. See I actually have more jeans then I thought because I buy things if they are on sale and over consume. I am going to try and patch them:) because I like the fit.
