Wardrobe Refashion Pledge

For those of you who are not familiar with Wardrobe Refashion here is the pledge....

The Pledge

I __________________ pledge that I shall abstain from the purchase of "new" manufactured items of clothing, for the period of 2 / 4 / 6 months. I pledge that i shall refashion, renovate, recycle preloved items for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract. I pledge that I will share the love and post a photo of my refashioned, renovoted, recycled, crafted or created item of clothing on the Wardrobe Refashion blog, so that others may share the joy that thy thriftiness brings! Feeling brave I signed up for it. Sure my sewing skills are limited, and I love to shop, but I think I can change, really I can change. So let's see how I do. It all starts on January 1st.  Are you going to take the pledge?

Christmas Dress

I bought this maternity dress for $7.00. I am not pregnant, but even at eleven months post partum and a lot of working out the post-baby body needs a little extra room. Okay so it probably needed a little extra room pre-baby too, but lets not talk about that ;).

I am just figuring out how to refashion it. I was thinking of adding some ruffles, or rosettes made from the scarf, but I am not quite sure. Well This is the first official refasion for the blog so I will keep you posted on what I actually do decide to do.
